Cool concept! I play a ton of tetris and I was wondering if you were thinking of making the pieces (elementinos?) more than a single block wide for a bit of diversity in what drops?
For example with a tetris T block. Maybe it could fire off beams from each of the points, and you could rotate it in order to 'aim' the beam?
What might help is having some kind of indicator in the game screen, to what the pieces do? I know they are described in the how to play section, but I found I couldn't remember that info when I was playing.
Hi thanks a lot for trying out the game. I was hoping a Tetris player will come and rate my game!
Initially I was thinking about the shapes, but I also tried so hard to stop myself from going too far :) Most arcade games should be easy in mechanics and I thought it will make the game a lot more complicated than needed. Especially after second part of Your comment hahaha.
I want to change the UI during the game a bit, so that You can see your current element as a big sprite and below a smaller one for the next one, got a feedback that the big one for next is a bit confusing sometimes, if You look at it a lot. So maybe I could somehow show a simple drawing next to it what does it exactly do?
Tomorrow I am going to work on it and I will try to upload update in the tomorrow's evening, so stay tuned and thanks again :)
I definitely get the complexity can grow a lot. Even regular Tetris has some fairly mind-blowing mechanics that a lot of people don't know about and it's best to keep things simple and fun.
If you're looking for inspiration and aren't already aware. TETR.IO (https://tetr.io/) is basically the gold standard of Tetris games on the PC. You could probably get a lot of ideas on look/feel by playing around with that.
Hi, well done finishing the first version of your game. I would love to get some background music and few sound fx for the elements. There are some great Assets on Itch.io
For me as the player it is unclear what which element does, there is no name or explanation of the "power". Or maybe a short gameplay video which shows how you would use the elements. That is probably my biggest complaint so far.
Also maybe go for a different font color, or try a white font with black outline (10pix) to make everything easier to read.
Hi thanks a lot for a review and help with coding! Of course visual side is completely not touched yet, i'm working on some idea for background UI and menu in my head right now and got some rough idea how i want it to look like. About the music and sounds I actually have a close friend who is also finishing his exams and he will do all the sounds for the game himself :) In my opinion he is really good with what he does so stay tuned for that!
About the game clarity... YEaah i thought it was obvious, but I am biased since i wrote it myself, I definetely should work on it, right after clearing the bugs I have right now and sketching the idea for how I want the game to look like.
Also if You have any idea on how enemies should look like, feel free to give me suggestions :) Should I go with some monsters or shapes or what? i have no idea honestly for that
yeah, i like the blue color, good contrast with the white font. explanation how to play is also good. next step for me would to add some music and sfx.

Your clarity requests have been adressed :)
